A Day of Remembrance, Connection & Inner Awakening
What if the journey of awakening was not about becoming something new, but remembering something that has been within you all along?
This retreat is an invitation to explore the meeting place between ancient yogic Eastern traditions and indigenous approaches to the inner shaman — exploring the relationship between consciousness, breath, movement, sound, energy and the natural world.
Together, we will explore the history and symbolism of Kundalini, the concept of life-force energy, and traditional practices associated with awakening, circulating and strengthening this energy through the body.
We will explore the subtle body, energy centres and meridian systems, while using accessible practices to develop greater awareness of the relationship between the physical body, emotions, breath, mind and energetic experience.
This is not simply a retreat about learning techniques.
It is an invitation to become the medicine.
To reconnect with the wisdom already carried within your body.
To remember your capacity for love, joy, courage, presence and connection.
And to share that remembrance within community during a powerful time of change and transformation on the Earth.
⸻
🌿 THE JOURNEY BEGINS WITH CONNECTION
We won’t begin by asking you to sit silently or immediately dive into deep inner work.
We’ll begin by reconnecting with something much simpler:
Play.
The day will open with connective games and playful exercises designed to help us relax, meet one another and reconnect with our inner child.
Through laughter, movement, curiosity and interaction, we create a space where people can let go of some of the usual social barriers and arrive more fully in the present moment.
From there, we’ll gradually journey deeper — moving from connection with others, into connection with ourselves.
⸻
🔥 EXPLORING KUNDALINI
Kundalini is a powerful concept found within several yogic and tantric traditions.
Often symbolised as a coiled serpent resting at the base of the spine, Kundalini is traditionally understood as a latent spiritual or life-force energy with the potential to move through the subtle body as consciousness develops.
During the retreat we’ll explore:
- The history and traditional understanding of Kundalini
- The symbolism of the serpent and awakened life force
- Chakras and the subtle energy body
- Prana, breath and vitality
- Nadis and the traditional energetic pathways
- Meridian concepts and their relationship to embodied awareness
- How movement, breath, sound and focused attention can influence our experience
- Practices for cultivating greater presence and energetic awareness
- The importance of grounding, integration and listening to the body
Rather than presenting Kundalini as something that needs to be forced or “activated” on command, the emphasis will be on awareness, relationship and embodied practice.
The invitation is to explore your own experience with curiosity and respect.
⸻
🧘♂️ YOGA, MOVEMENT & THE ENERGY BODY
The body is not separate from our emotional and inner experience.
Through gentle and invigorating movement, yoga-inspired practices and embodied exercises, we’ll explore how movement can help us become more aware of sensation, breath, emotion and energy.
Yoga mats are provided, You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you like.
The practices will be offered in an accessible way, with encouragement to work within your own physical limits and listen to your body throughout the day.
⸻
🌬️ BREATH AS MEDICINE
Breath is one of the most immediate ways we can influence our state of awareness.
We’ll explore conscious breathing practices alongside movement and sound, using the breath as a doorway into deeper bodily awareness.
These practices may support experiences of relaxation, emotional release, focus and connection, while giving you practical tools that you can continue exploring beyond the retreat.
There is no expectation to force an emotional experience.
Instead, we create space to notice what is already present.
⸻
🔊 SOUND, VIBRATION & INNER LISTENING
Sound has been used across cultures as a tool for ritual, prayer, meditation, celebration and connection.
We’ll explore sound and vibration through practices including vocalisation, mantra, rhythm and conscious listening.
The intention is to experience how sound can change the quality of our attention and bring us deeper into the body.
This may include moments of stillness as well as moments of expression, allowing the retreat to move naturally between contemplation and celebration.
⸻
🌱 PLANT MEDICINE & THE WISDOM OF NATURE
The retreat will also create space for conversation around plant medicines and traditional relationships with plants.
We’ll explore the cultural, historical and spiritual contexts in which different plant medicines have been used, alongside the importance of respect, intention, preparation, responsibility and integration.
Where plant-medicine practices are shared within the retreat, participation will be optional and approached with care, consent and respect for individual boundaries, health circumstances and personal beliefs.
This is not about chasing extraordinary experiences.
It is about exploring the deeper question:
What does it mean to become the medicine in our own lives?
To become more present.
More compassionate.
More conscious of what we consume, what we create and what we bring into our relationships.
The medicine is not simply something we receive.
It is something we learn to embody.
⸻
🌀 FROM INNER WORK TO COMMUNITY
Transformation doesn’t have to be a solitary journey.
There is something powerful about gathering with people who are willing to be authentic, curious and open-hearted.
Throughout the day we’ll create opportunities for connection, sharing and community allowing people to experience both the depth of inner work and the joy of being together.
Because awakening isn’t only about going inward.
It is also about how we show up in the world.
How we communicate.
How we love.
How we listen.
How we care for ourselves and others.
And how we contribute to the communities around us.

MEET JAKE
Jake is a multidimensional space holder, facilitator Mind and body practitioner whose mission is to empower individuals and communities to unlock their unique greatness.
His work brings together different approaches to personal development, consciousness, embodiment and energetic awareness, creating spaces where people can explore themselves in a way that feels engaging, grounded and accessible.
Through mind mapping and cognitive exploration, Kundilini Practice, Jake works with the conscious and subconscious dimensions of the mind, encouraging people to question old patterns, discover new perspectives and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
But his approach doesn’t stop with the mind.
Jake also works with the body and energetic experience, using movement, breath and sound to explore the relationship between physical sensation, emotion and awareness.
Through practices centred around “energy in motion”, participants are invited to become more aware of the body’s own wisdom and the ways emotions can be experienced and expressed through breath, movement and sound.
His approach blends elements of ancient practice with modern personal development, creating an experience that is intended to be both transformative and enjoyable.
At the heart of Jake’s work is a simple invitation:
Come back to yourself.
To truth.
To love.

To the infinite layers of experience that become available when we allow ourselves to be fully present.
